Everlasting Pea, first published in 1802, is an exquisite botanical illustration by the renowned artist Pierre-Joseph Redouté. Known as one of the greatest botanical illustrators, Redouté spent much of his career painting floral beauties at Château de Malmaison upon the request of Josephine Bonaparte, Napoleon's wife. This Victorian masterpiece beautifully exemplifies Redouté's skill in capturing the delicate charm and intricate details of the everlasting pea (Lathyrus latifolius).
