Peony Rainbow | Linoprint

A carved peony sits over a hand-pressed rainbow ground in this colorful linocut by Joan Pranata Bogart. The layered printing process gives the floral design depth while keeping the loose, handmade character of relief printmaking.

Joan’s botanical work is influenced by nature and the repeating motifs of Indonesian batik. Each 11 x 14 inch print is signed and numbered on Stonehenge printmaking paper.
