Immerse yourself in the dramatic landscapes of Washington State with this stunning relief map—a tribute to the Pacific Northwest’s natural wonders. From the lush, green valleys of the Puget Sound in the west to the high, arid plateaus of the east, this map masterfully captures Washington’s rugged topography and vibrant diversity.

To the west, deep blues reflect the jagged Olympic Peninsula, home to ancient rainforests and the glacier-capped Olympic Mountains. The map’s contours rise steeply for Mount Olympus, while the winding coastline and islands of Puget Sound show the intricate waterways and inlets that define the region’s maritime charm.

Travel eastward across the map and watch as the Cascade Range emerges—an awe-inspiring string of volcanic peaks. Mount Rainier towers at the center, its broad, snow-white summit standing out. Northward, Mount Baker and the North Cascades are etched with sharp ridges and deep valleys, their snowfields and alpine lakes rendered in cool tones.

On the eastern side of the Cascades you can see the transition into Washington’s vast interior. Here, the Columbia Basin rolls out in soft waves, dotted with coulees and scablands shaped by ancient floods. The mighty Columbia River cuts a bold course southward, defining the boundary between plateaus and foothills.

In the southeast, the Palouse region unfolds in gentle, rolling hills, its patchwork fields captured in subtle light blues. Northeastern Washington rises once more with the forested Selkirk and Okanogan Highlands, while Lake Chelan nestles between steep canyon walls.

Whether you’ve hiked in Mount Rainier National Park, crossed the windswept plains of the Columbia Plateau, or simply admire the state’s wild spirit, this map is a visual celebration of Washington’s ever-changing landscape—a perfect tribute for anyone who calls this remarkable corner of America home.

Please note: While this map looks very 3D, it is a 2D map, printed in two dimensions on paper or canvas.

About our Unique 3D Topographic Relief Maps

These aren’t just maps — they’re landscapes, sculpted with light and shadow.

Our shaded relief prints use ultra high resolution topographic data and a secret 3D rendering process to create the illusion of raised terrain — like the mountains are about to lift right off the page. No labels, no borders, no distractions. Just the raw shape of the land, brought to life in a clean, modern style.

They’re designed to feel timeless. Bold enough to be a centrepiece, subtle enough to blend in. A perfect gift for map lovers, mountain wanderers, or anyone who finds beauty in the shape of the Earth.

And of course, like any of our other maps, you can personalise this topographical map as well. Why not mark your favourite peaks, or the routes of your favourite hikes and cycle rides?
